My Story

My name is Monica Orzel and I am the owner of Color Pop Cookie Shop, a home based cottage food bakery in Chesterfield, Michigan.

I love to create, and I love sweets! I enjoy making beautiful, edible works of art that can be enjoyed for any occasion. I’ve been baking for as long as I can remember, and transitioned from cakes & cupcakes to royal icing sugar cookies two years ago. Some of my fondest memories from my childhood include baking with my Oma, mom, and sister.

I am happily married to my husband, Ian, and am proud mom of sweet baby Miles. I am a Pharmacy Fraud Investigator by day, and a cookier by night!
